What are All-on-X Same Day Smile

Dental implants can be seen as an artificial tooth roots that are placed in your jawbone, which are then used to become a base structure for one or more artificial teeth, also known as crowns. A connector which connects the implant that is fused into the bone and the crown, known as an abutment, is placed on top of the dental implant to support the crown.

Dental implants are made from medical-grade titanium which is durable and allows for the fusion of the implant and the bone. There are many benefits to what dental implants offer, hence why they have become the preferred method for tooth replacement across the globe.

Am I A Good Candidate For All-on-X Implants?

Everyone is a potential candidate for dental implants, but that doesn’t mean that some are better suited for the procedure than others. Here are the qualities of an ideal implant candidate:

  • Has good dental and oral health (especially gum health)

  • Has adequate jawbone mass (as implants go into the jawbone)

  • Is a non-smoker (as smoking can promote boss loss around the implant site)

  • Doesn’t grind teeth (as this habit can damage implants over time

Don’t worry if you don’t match these above points. With the advances in implant technology, you’ll be likely to get an implant if it is something that makes sense between you and your dentist.

What Influences The Cost of All-on-X Implants

For many people who wish to replace lost or impaired teeth, dental implants provide an excellent care option. It can be a little tough to get an accurate price estimate because there are so many variables that can influence the final cost. Here are the four most significant factors:

  • The type of implant used – Standard dental implants have posts with a diameter of up to four millimetres and a length of up to twelve millimetres; on the other hand, small implants are unlikely to be larger than two millimetres and have a much shorter post. The type of implant used will partly depend on where it is to be installed.

  • The number of implants being placed – It will cost less to place one or two implants as opposed to placing several at one time. Since several other treatment-related costs need to be weighed, however, opting to put some implants now and others later might not be more feasible in the long run.

  • Gum disease treatment – Highly developed stages of gum disease target the teeth holding bone and ligaments. Treatment may be needed to clear that infection.
